The best way to keep children home is to make the home atmosphere pleasant--and let the air out of the tires
We finally finished our basement remodel! What was supposed to be a simple project of removing old vinyl tile & painting the walls turned into a much bigger project. The floor had to be chiseled off (meaning me sitting on the floor with a hammer & chisel beating the sticky tile off little piece by little piece) & we had to take a wall down because it was covered in mold (who puts drywall over leaky windows?). Now the basement is a great TV room/playroom/sewing room. I managed to lose the good before pictures so I just have what we took before we bought the house & during the demolition.
But the entire basement basically looked like the first picture: yellow, yellow, and more yellow.
